In keeping with the family’s efforts to control clutter,
during the holidays they bring in just a few meaningful,
festive elements: a freshly cut tree, a wreath to welcome
guests, and a grouping of handmade snow globes, all of
which are simple and clean, reflecting their usual aes-
thetic. During the tree-trimming process, though, things
can get a little messy. Says Lisa: “Lucas started decorating
last year, and his idea of decorating was throwing orna-
ments toward the tree. Thankfully, he gets it more now.”
