EDITOR’S Letter
LAST YEAR, in between toiling away on the
print editions of the magazine, the
Antholog y team decided that sleep was overrated
and we should add a special digital-only
holiday gift guide to our workload. When it
was complete, we were thrilled with the result. The stories were in keeping with what
readers had come to expect from the print
magazine, while the online format allowed
us to easily link to shops and products.
So earlier this year, when it came time
to decide whether we’d commit to putting together another guide, it was a no-brainer. For the gift-giving portion, we
once again reached out to a group of guest
editors whose work, and taste, we admire.
Hopefully, their picks will help you as you
start thinking about holiday shopping. If
you’re hosting a gathering this season, you
won’t want to miss our brunch and dessert
features. (The recipes—like the Orange
Rosemary Bundt Cakes and the Cranberry
Ginger Bellinis—are built around some of
winter’s most delicious flavors.) And you’ll
find more great ideas in this year’s guide,
including printable gift tags and cards designed exclusively for Antholog y.
For us, the holidays are all about friends
and family—spending time with them,
figuring out ways to bring smiles to their
faces. And ultimately, that’s what informed
the content for the following virtual pages.
We hope that the Antholog y holiday gift guide
makes the end of your year a little merrier
(and less stressful!).
Wishing you a very
happy holiday season,
