I have great memories of learning how to cook in the kitchens
of my parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends. So around
the holidays, my favorite way to indulge loved ones is to whip up
something special. The three recipes on the following pages are
updates on classics from my childhood, and remind me of the
people who introduced me to the joys of cooking and baking.
